Who We Are
We’re the Figure Skating Club of Charleston:
A non-profit organization, dedicated to the promotion of amateur figure skating.
We were founded in 1998 and have helped scores of skaters in the Lowcountry progress in the sport of figure skating.
Our purpose is simple:
- To encourage the instruction, practice, and advancement of the members in any or all of the disciplines of figure skating
- To encourage and cultivate a spirit of fraternal feeling among ice skaters
- To carry out the general policies of the US Figure Skating, the governing body of Figure Skating in the United States
We carry out our purpose by:
- Sponsoring and organizing figure skating tests, which are a measurement of progress and determine an individual's competition level in the various figure skating disciplines.
- Organizing Skating Seminars with skating professionals to encourage the growth and progress of our skaters.
- Skate swaps are periodically held for parents and skaters to buy and sell skates and apparel.
- A number of fun social activities are held throughout the year.
